There's something about this time of year that makes me want to slow down, light candles and spend a little more time in my own world.
I've been loving creating little rituals in the evenings. Nothing complicated, just a few things that help me switch off from the day and reconnect with myself.
1. DAILY MAGIC — MY JOURNAL RITUAL
I've been calling my journaling practice Daily Magic.
I sit down with my journal and brain dump any fear or noise that's going on in my mind. I write down five things I'm grateful for, along with any intuitions, ideas or things that have triggered me that day.
It's a really simple practice, but it has helped me develop so much awareness of my inner world. I'm becoming so much more connected to myself, and little blocks that might be in the way of the things I really want for life.
2. MY EVENING WIND-DOWN RITUAL
I've been loving lighting a beeswax candle, burning a little palo santo and making myself a tea. I'm obsessed with the M&S shortbread tea - it's the perfect cosy ritual.
Then I'll put on a meditation, get cosy and give myself some space to just breathe and come back.
RECONNECTING WITH MYSELF
One thing I've been thinking about a lot recently is how much our everyday wellness influences our ability to connect with ourselves.
Our sleep, food, movement, hydration and having some spaciousness in our day.
When my mind is constantly busy or I'm feeling exhausted, it's so much harder to hear my intuition and trust myself. Everything feels so muddled.
And I think sometimes we believe we don't have that intuitive connection, when really we've just become so used to living in our logical minds that we've forgotten what it feels like.
These little evening rituals have become one of my favourite ways to create that space again.
Just candles, a journal, a little magic and space for myself.
All my love,
Robyn xx
