Our approach is designed to help clients better understand their health, explore their options and take an informed, active role in their wellbeing.
However:
- Individual responses to interventions and lifestyle changes vary.
- Specific health outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

- Further medical assessment or specialist care may be recommended where appropriate.
Clients are encouraged to maintain appropriate medical follow-up and communicate significant changes in their health.
08Emergency Medical Care
Whole Self Medicine does not provide emergency medical services.
Our consultations are not suitable for the assessment or management of medical emergencies.
If you experience severe or sudden symptoms, or believe you may be experiencing a medical emergency, please seek urgent medical attention.
In an emergency in Ireland, call 112 or 999.

09Working With Your Healthcare Team
Whole Self Medicine supports collaborative healthcare.
Many clients may already be receiving care from:
- A GP

- An endometriosis specialist
- A fertility clinic
- Other registered healthcare professionals
Our role is to complement existing care by exploring the wider picture of your health.
Where appropriate, we may recommend further investigations, medical reviews or referrals.
Relevant information may be shared with other healthcare professionals with your consent or where otherwise legally permitted or required.
10Private Health Insurance
Clients may be eligible to claim a contribution towards their consultation through their private health insurance, depending on their provider and individual policy.
A receipt will be provided following your appointment.
We recommend checking directly with your insurer before booking to confirm your eligibility.
Whole Self Medicine cannot guarantee reimbursement from private health insurers.
11Additional Testing & Investigations
Where clinically appropriate, additional investigations may be discussed or recommended.
These may include:
- Blood testing
- Gut microbiome testing
- Other relevant investigations or specialist assessments
Additional testing is not automatically included in the consultation fee.
Any applicable costs will be explained in advance.
Testing will only be arranged where appropriate and with the client's agreement.
12The Whole Self Approach
At Whole Self Medicine, we believe health is influenced by more than one aspect of our lives.
Our approach brings together three interconnected pillars:
Medicine
Understanding your medical history, symptoms, investigations, diagnoses, treatments and available clinical options.
Lifestyle
Exploring nutrition, movement, sleep, daily routines and the everyday choices that can influence wellbeing.
Inner World
Understanding the beliefs, fears, conditioning, stressors and personal experiences that may shape how we experience ourselves and our health.
Our consultations bring these three areas together to develop a personalised Whole Self Plan.
Supportive practices may include nutrition guidance, mindfulness, meditation, stress-management techniques and other appropriate lifestyle interventions.
These approaches are intended to complement, not replace, necessary medical care.
13Confidentiality & Data Protection
Whole Self Medicine is committed to protecting client privacy and handling personal and health information responsibly.
Client information is treated confidentially and stored using appropriate security measures.
Personal and health information is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Information may be shared where:
- You have provided appropriate consent.
- Sharing is necessary for your care and otherwise legally permitted.
- Disclosure is required by law.
- There is another applicable legal or professional obligation.
Further information about how personal data is collected, used, stored and protected is available in our separate Privacy Policy.
14Professional Boundaries
Whole Self Medicine is committed to providing a safe, respectful and professional clinical environment.
We expect respectful communication between clients and practitioners.
We maintain appropriate professional boundaries and standards of care.
Threatening, abusive, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour may result in services being discontinued where appropriate.
15Refusal or Discontinuation of Services
Whole Self Medicine may decline, postpone or discontinue a service where clinically or professionally appropriate.
This may include circumstances where:
- A client's needs fall outside the clinic's scope of practice.
- A different healthcare service is more appropriate.
- Clinical safety cannot be adequately maintained.
- There are serious breaches of professional boundaries.
- Continued care would be inappropriate for another legitimate reason.
Where appropriate, clients will be advised about alternative services or further medical care.
Any discontinuation of care will be managed in accordance with relevant professional obligations.
